THE AUSTRALIAN ALPINE
WALKING TRACK
This is our big trip for this year and we are both incredibly excited! We will spend approximately 2 months hiking the full 650km of the Australian Alpine Walking Track. We are doing parts of this trip in conjunction with two ledgends, Em and Dan Cross. These guys are putting in an increadible effort to organise "An Extended Casual Stroll" where they are inviting others to come and join in and walk sections of this walk with them. Amoungst it all they are also fundraising for some wicked causes! Follow the link to head over and see their page and what it's all about!
Our web page will be filled with all of our preparation, including food, logistics, fitness and gear. Follow the image links on the right hand side to browse these. (If using a mobile device these will appear towards the bottom of the page)

Below is a list of our planned dates and locations. These are split up based on where we are getting a food drop. Some 'weeks' are 10 days, others are only 4. We have not included specific rest days in this outline, although if you pay attention to the dates you will notice that on some occasions we are spending one or two days at our food drop box as rest day/s. I will upload our planned daily itinerary closer to our departure!
We have chosen to do this walk at a slower pace. This allows us to do all the side trips we wish to do, as well as start off slowly (and continue like this if needed) to try and prevent any injury. We are both also keen to be able to record the environmental changes along the track with a nature journal each and have allowed to for observation and recording.

Menu brainstorming and ideas, food drop spread sheet...

A list of all the gear we will be taking on this trip, including spares!

Follow what we are doing to try and get pack fit!
